This site is called ThisBoyIsToast for identity reasons and for the simple fact I love toast. So I thought it was about time, in its new incarnation as a photoblog, that I add in some toast.

Grilled Cheese Sandwich is my current preferred method of toast, though I still do the 4-slices, margarine and glass of milk when I need some comfort. And yes, I know this is a “melt” not a grilled. But if you follow me on Instagram (instagram.com/tbit) you know I have actually done real grilled on the BBQ sandwiches. This particular melt is the Croque Monsieur but without the crispy, burned bits. I needed to pull the racks up higher or go with a cheaper cut of Gruyere. Still, fucking tasty.

As for food photography, mine is more like the standard resto Instagram shot, more about sharing the yummy than perfect food styling, which goes with the “tenaciously amateur” theme of this blog.
